Grange Park

Joe had a golf tournament on Saturday morning, and after he was done he met us at a park near the golf course for some fun in the water! Of course, of all days, we picked the hottest! Haylie likes water, but not really when it's spraying in the air. Connor could care less and loves it all!!! All in all, it was a fun afternoon! :)

Typical for Connor... stuffing his face!

This is Haylie saying "cheese" while whining.... love it!You know how some people have a "camera smile" and then they have a "real smile?" Well, this is Haylie's "camera smile." Just scrunch up your nose, and there ya have it!This was the closest I could get to a "Haylie stand by Connor so I can take a picture" picture. Connor's trying to grab the camera and Haylie's pulling on his shirt... oh well. I LOVE my family.

America's Next Top Model :)

I know I've already posted one today, but I forgot about this picture, and HAD to share. SO, here comes Haylie, from head to toe, wearing a multi-colored beanie covered in sheep, a long sleeved, pink and brown leopard print shirt covered with a polyester red hoodie with blue stripes down the sides. On bottom she is wearing a yellow knee-length skirt with white ruffles around the bottom. Don't forget the giant salmon colored flower (which you can't see because it's on backwards :)) To top off the outfit, she's got on her magenta snow boots! How's that for fashion?

In Dad's Shoes...

Connor loves shoes more than anything! SO, of course every mom has to have pictures of her kids trying on Daddy's shoes... He is always wearing them on his feet AND hands. Doesn't matter whose they are... In fact, last night we went to McDonald's with a friend and her son, and I spent almost the entire time taking random shoes away from Connor and putting them back in the shoe cubby. Gotta love him!

My Rising Star!

About a week ago, and after about 8 tries and deletes, I got Haylie to sing for me. It's pretty cute, but it took us a few seconds to get it going. She'd just been crying so the beginning is a little rough! :) Sorry it's a little distorted...

Loving Motherhood!

So my friend Jenni, who I went with to elementary through high school, got a hold of me on here and we might do a play date with our kids! I think her kids are a little bit older than mine, but not by much. Should be fun! Sometimes I wish I had a job, to sort of get away from home once in a while. And then there are times when I think it's so nice to be a stay-at-home mom. I know what my kids are seeing, saying, learning... and not 24 hours a day, but more than if they were at a day care. There are times, however, when I don't think I can take much more whining and screaming and naughty kids. And then I always remember that someone once put up with me. And somehow I make it through another day.
I was reading Jenni's blog posts, and another girl's too, and I am amazed at how they do it! They seem so organized at being a mom; with so many ideas and activities to keep their kids entertained. The other girl was saying that she took her son to a park and he climbed to the top of this little hill and pretended he was in a giant bird's nest. I was shocked. He's younger than Haylie by 6 months, and she doesn't do the pretend thing. I'm wondering if I should start coaxing her to play pretend... I would think that a girl that's almost 3 would be doing that sort of thing. Oh well I guess!

This week...

...has been crazy! Joe's gone working... Monday and Tuesday he was on Whidbey Island, and now he's working on the Snoqualmie job until tomorrow. Haylie and Connor miss him.. I miss him.. I just really like it when he comes home at night after work. BUT... oh well. It's just what ya do I guess!
The neighbors that I talked about in a previous post... the ones who always come over to use our phone, have had their kids taken away by CPS (I'm assuming). The other night, the mom caught her house on fire, while she was extremely drunk and extremely high. Whether it was on purpose or accident, no one knows, but this was just sort of the last straw. A bunch of us neighbors had been talking about making an annonymous phone call to CPS, because not only was she asking for the phone, she was asking for money. She'd been using another lady's toilet, and hose to fill up buckets of water. She sent her 7 year old son over to our house to ask for money. It's just enough. Both her and her husband are constantly intoxicated and/or high and it really was for the best, although very sad. I am glad, however, that I didn't have to make the phone call.
