When it rains, it pours. Right?
At our house it does. We have had the WORST luck this past month. In the course of 30 days, exactly, we had 2 cases of pink eye, bronchitis, 2 sinus colds, a common cold, and last but definitely not least, a trip to the E.R., not to mention the loss of Joe for 4 days. And wouldn't you know, the worst of these happened on the day he left? Shocking, I know.
Haylie had a little incident on Monday night. One of our dog's chew toys is a piece of an elk antler and Haylie was trying to throw it over the fence into the dog yard. Well, it didn't quite make it... instead it bounced off the fence and flew right back into her face. She got a nice little gash under her eyebrow, and of course a swollen and purple eyelid.
These first two pictures were taken Monday, the day it happened. Yes, I made her stand for a picture before we left for the hospital. :) The third picture was taken the next day (Tuesday).
These two were taken today (Thursday). It's actually healed up rather quickly, and looks like there might not be too much of a scar.
